Pimped out TT as support car.

The feeding of the lawyers, also known as registering and signing waivers.

That done and bogus NASCAR racing licenses in hand, we staked out our spot in the pits near the track entrance.
Organizer Jay Lamm's pad, with stoic fembot guards. Actually these beauties were placed on the track as a slalom that weeded out any dud cars (or drivers) during the tech session. There was also the "dodge the baby pram" test, in which we were meant to stop before we hit the pram - which was launched across the track by the diabolical organizers. Our driver representative failed miserably and was docked 10 laps before the race even began!

Guest appearance by hottie nurse in Alfa ambulance. Waaaaaahmbulance?

Saturday last minute going over. Although I don't know why they bother with this car, because it's obviously had a going over with a sledge hammer several times already.

Sporting a very snazzy paint job, and extremely aggressive driving team, this Olds experienced many mishaps and was a car to give wide berth.

Cheeky 2002

This Benz did a marvelous job of staying in the running and was awarded the Organizer's Choice for capturing the spirit of the event.

Welder, plastic palm, and even a freaking nice area rug (out of sight here), this pit crew lived in luxury!

What could be more logical than a boat in the racing pits, miles from water and high on a hill?

By way of contrast, we rolled up, popped up a couple of tents and chairs, then kicked back with a mountain of Fritos chips. We are the Fritos Banditos! Hear our name and tremble!

The pits were full of cars with dealer plates and manufacturer plates, to say nothing of the 50 foot motor coaches with enclosed trailers. This was the Bandito Hideout - also known as the hospitality suite.

Actually one of our team members took safety to a new level, in addition to getting around the pits quicker than the rest of us.

In the pits, heading for the grid on Saturday afternoon.

The first major accident came when this Jetta met the wall on the front straight. That isn't going to buff out. The driver was fine, thanks to race safety equipment.

The drivers of this Hyundai Accent were very aggressive on Saturday, only to meet with something large and hard. It managed a few laps on Sunday, but to quote the driver, "drives like shit!"

Saturday afternoon saw this Golf with a large puncture in the gas tank when the rear axle snapped. The team carried on with the black car, despite multiple failures with that car as well. It's good to have spares!
